About Vananchal College, Tandwa
Vananchal College, Tandwa was established by the local villagers with great support bestowed by the circle officer of Tandwa Block Shree Gauri Shankar Prasad then Mining Engineer (Camp 9/C) CMPDI Ltd. Mr. V.J. Philip and shree Bigul Prasad lecturer, Department of History of the college by date 14th May 1985, Collage was established.
After good performances. The Registrar, Ranchi University, Ranchi submitted a college inspection report to the Human Resource Department, Govt. of Bihar, Patna granted first affiliation to the college without any financial assistance and without Intermediate from academic session 1988-89, 1989-90, 1990-91. Section Government notification on page no 28 vide letter no 248, Patna dated 09th Feb 1987 to above mentioned session to continuity college in government affiliation regularly and lastly government awarded permanent affiliation from session 2011-14.
Principal Land required for college of 14 Acre is donated by local villagers. College was awarded by UGC of Section 2F and 12 B in 11th July 2014. College is situated in the backward area dominated by SC/ST/OBC. Area is educationally backward which has been certified by B.D.O. Area is disturbed due to naxal activities apart from that college is spreading the favour of higher education since their establishment ie 1985. Teaching and non teaching staffs engages in their duties with open heart and with a seldom payment till date.
In our admission record, which is proudly figured that the girls belonging to the SC/ ST/OBC and minority community were more than the boys. This is the great matter that college comes the area right from Hazaribag district, Chatra district Latehar district, Ranchi district students of these vincity studied here to obtain the bachelor’s degree in arts and commerce faculties.
